In March 2018 the government announced a £67 million Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme to support the cost of installing faster and more reliable full fibre broadband connections for small to medium-sized businesses and the local communities around them.
Local Body Partnership & Community Fibre Partnership Schemes allow communities not in the current deployment plan the opportunity to proactively secure a solution by sharing the costs of deploying the new fibre based network between the County Council, Openreach and local residents and business wanting to upgrade.
